Job Description

Summary:

Help develop and execute the organizational Plan and lead the quality improvement activities in targeted areas of the organization in support of Leadership. Provide quality assurance support to customers, suppliers, partners and the organization. This position also executes the Quality Assurance strategy of the organization to ensure continuous production of products consistent with established industry standards, government regulations and customer requirements. This position may have some supervisory/oversight of other quality personnel.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and report on the effectiveness of the quality program and coordinate the preparation, review, publication and distribution of all quality documents, manuals, and associated records.

• Assist Engineering in the review of Technical publications as part of the Maintenance Capability Evaluations.

• Assit in the development and update procedures and policies required by the FAA. Develop and implement, with assistance from applicable departments, ISO 9001 and repair station related procedures for Safran Power USA, LLC .

• Maintain Safran Power USA, LLC ISO Quality Manual and repair station documentation.

• Assist in development and implementation of MRO training programs and developmental projects.

• Ensure all activities are accomplished within the authority of the repair station and the Federal Aviation Regulations and that the work is inspected as required.

• Establish, monitor and improve maintenance and inspection procedures that ensure customer product will be maintained in a safe, efficient and economical manner.

• Assure certification of all parts and materials used in the repair, modification or overhaul of all aircraft, components and constituent parts.

• Ensure that the calibration of precision tools is recorded and maintained.

• Ensure required training and competencies are met and employee training records are properly maintained.

• Maintain a culture promoting flight safety, as well as health and safety and lead by example.

• Ensure the MRO and Technical teams, and their work areas, actively meet or exceed occupational health and safety

• Act as a positive role model in all aspects of professional performance.

• Ensures commitment to a safe working environment and the HSE standards and processes established by corporate

• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Regular, predictable attendance is required.

Complementary Description

Physical Demands:

Sitting 50% / Standing 40% / Walking & lifting 10%

Work Environment:

The work environment is an office setting with moderate office noise.

Job Requirements

Education and/or Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering Discipline or equivalent degree

• Minimum of 5 Years previous experience in aircraft Quality Control or Quality Assurance in an MRO or related Aerospace Company.

• A&P FAA license preferred

• ISO 9001/AS9110 experience preferred.

• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook) applications required.

Knowledge/Skills:

• Must have demonstrated leadership abilities.

• Must have excellent organizational skills.

• Must be able to make independent decisions with little or no supervision.

• Must be able to interact cordially and productively with subordinates, co-workers and supervisors.

• Must understand, read and write proficiently in the English language to:

• Read and understand manuals and technical information

• Write policies and procedures for ISO/FAA

• Document safety reports for purposes of OSHA

• Professional writing skills

• Must be organized multi-tasker who manages time proactively
