The Electrical Engineer Intern will assist in conceptualizing and developing products containing electrical as well as electromechanical components for the manufacture, assembly, and test of RAVE IFE products that are required for our airline customer orders. The Intern will work with an Engineer to assist in the design of new products that meet or exceed all customer requirements for functionality, performance, and reliability while improving the overall passenger experience, visual appearance, and ease of use of our products.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work as part of a small team of electrical engineers, mechanical designers, and technicians

  • Assist in design, prototype, and document products with electronic, mechanical, and electromechanical content – standard and custom circuit boards, peripherals, power supplies, cabling, and fabricated metal and plastic parts

  • Assist with selecting components and developing BOMs based on cost/performance/availability tradeoffs

  • Assist with root-cause analysis on problems detected in returned products

  • Provide support to factory in resolving sourcing and production issues

Preferred Qualifications and/or Education:

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering

  • Courses and/or experience related to circuit board design and analysis;

  • Must be proactive, enthusiastic, innovative, and looking to be challenged

  • Ability to develop creative solutions and resolve problems

  • Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities
